China's first space router successfully launched

According to Xinhua News Agency, Changsha, October 29th, China's first space router independently designed and developed by the National University of Defense Technology, recently launched the Long March 4th B carrier rocket at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center to accurately enter the scheduled orbit.

The successful completion of this launch mission marked the official entry of China's first space router into the in-orbit verification test phase. This router adopts a router operating system and network protocol stack with independent intellectual property rights, and has software definition capabilities, and supports network protocols such as IPv4/IPv6.

The space router is one of the core devices for building a world-wide integrated information network. Due to natural environmental factors such as deserts, mountains and oceans, nearly half of the world's population still has no access to the Internet. The world-wide integrated network system with space router as the core will focus on solving this problem, providing strong support for Internet access in non-network coverage areas around the world, and providing Internet services for all types of users in space, space, land and sea.

The successful launch and on-orbit verification of China's first space router will greatly improve the technical maturity of the space router system and lay a solid foundation for the construction of the Tiandi integrated network system.https://www.yeacommtech.com/index.html
